This year Calvary celebrates 50 years of blessings in school ministry.

Fifty years of meaningful impact on children’s lives.

Fifty years of authentic partnership with parents.

Fifty years of passion and dedication from our ministry team.

Fifty years of guidance and blessing from God.

As we celebrate this bounty of blessing throughout the 2022-2023 school year, our theme is “Rooted in Christ: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Building for the Future.”

Celebrating the Present

As we ponder the present, we see the faces of our Calvary community. Our students. Our parents. Our team of faculty and staff. Our supporters in ministry. This is our Calvary family. They give joy, meaning, and purpose to everything we do. What a blessing to grow together in faith and knowledge under the banner of God’s love at Calvary every day!

On Sunday, September 25th we celebrated the blessings of the present in a big way at Calvary’s Family Reunion Sunday.

Honoring the Past

In 1972 Calvary first opened its school doors to thirteen students, ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade. Instruction was conducted in the church fellowship hall and led by two teachers. Though the seeds of the past look different, the purpose was the same: to partner with parents to develop children into young adults, firmly rooted in God's saving Word.

On the second weekend in November, we honored the blessings of the past at Trivia Night and with a special worship service.

Building for the Future

As we look to the future of Calvary Lutheran School, we are filled with excitement. Why? We’ve seen God’s hand graciously guiding our past, we see the rich blessings of the present, and we trust Him with every step of our future. In the coming years we seek to grow our ministry to serve more families with the truth of God’s word.

On Sunday, February 12th we will gather and look to the years ahead, asking God’s favor and blessing on our future. May we continue to grow to be a hub for the Gospel in our Lake Highlands community.

Anniversary Celebration

Past, present, and future observances will culminate on Sunday, April 30th as we formally celebrate Calvary Lutheran School’s 50th Anniversary.

Join us for worship and celebration on this momentous occasion. With thankful hearts we will glorify God for fifty years of ministry. We will reunite with friends and family who have been part of Calvary’s fifty -year history. We will see updated site plans and dedicate ourselves to the future growth they encompass.
