Strong posture. Strong bodies. Better focus.

Join Emily Heisey, pediatric physical therapist and founder of KinActive Kids, and Dr. Matt Otteman, chiropractor and co-owner, for an expert-led discussion on posture in toddlers and school-age children.

With a background in pediatric physical therapy, movement development, and a lifelong love of dance and teaching, Emily brings a functional, whole-child approach to motor development. Dr. Otteman adds his chiropractic expertise in alignment and biomechanics to help families understand how posture impacts growing bodies.

Together, they’ll cover:

  • Why kids W-sit (and when to be concerned)
  • How W-sitting can affect hips, core strength, and overall posture
  • The connection between posture and attention in school-age kids
  • Simple, practical strategies to reduce W-sitting
  • Easy at-home and classroom tips to improve core strength and focus

Emily and Matt share child development tips on Instagram and provide health services and education to families through their company KinActive Kids. They are delighted to visit Calvary this spring to share professional guidance, practical tips, and personal encouragement to parents who want to raise healthy kids.
