Is the Old Testament still relevant?

The “Old Testament” comprises nearly two-thirds of the Bible.  Unfortunately, it is often ignored in preaching as less-than-relevant for the 21st Century Christian.  The Apostle Paul, however, would disagree!  He wrote to the Christians in Rome,

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

Romans 15:4

This summer, our sermon series will focus on the Old Testament lessons appointed for each day.  Rather than view these texts as “stuffy” or “out-of-touch”, let’s listen to the advice of the Apostle Paul and see in these Old Testament lessons the encouragement and hope they provide!  You can anticipate hearing gems from a range of authors that includes Moses, Ezekiel, Job, Jeremiah, Solomon, Joshua, and others.
