YOU'RE WELCOME HERE.
On Sundays, we gather together as a community of Christ-followers, eager to learn from God's Word and welcome you, wherever you've been, wherever you're going.
Your children will have a place here. Children of all ages are always welcome in the service, with their families.
And don't worry, you won't be called out, pressured to join or embarrassed in any way.
QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR SERVICES?
WE'D LOVE TO ANSWER THEM
DURING WORSHIP
You'll receive a service folder as you walk into our sanctuary. This has all of the information you'll need to follow along with the service.
We'll sing. Both traditional and modern hymns - we love them all.
Many of our services are liturgical in style, meaning we follow the same outline each week, but the content changes based on the scripture and topics we're studying.
The service will be about an hour long, with a 20-25 minute sermon. The message is always rooted in the truth of the Bible, but it will also apply to your life, today.
FREQUENTLY WONDERED QUESTIONS
We're a Lutheran church, part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. But more important than our affiliation is our set of beliefs -Â you can find those here.
There is no dress code at Calvary. You’ll see some people dressed in jeans and a polo, and others will be dressed in khaki shorts and a t-shirt. Come as you are!
We do, during some of our services. We're a sacramental church, meaning that in Baptism and the Lord's Supper, God comes to us with forgiveness in very tangible means.
The Bible has convinced us that Jesus' body and blood are present in the sacrament and that receiving Communion together is a public statement of unity in our beliefs.
We'd never want to assume what your beliefs are, so for this reason, we ask that only members of Calvary and other churches we are in fellowship with participate in Communion during the service.Â
If you'd like to learn more about Communion at Calvary and what we believe, we'd love to talk with you more about it. Simply contact us here and we'll get a pastor in touch with you!
Children are welcome at Calvary! Jesus himself said, "Let the little children come to me!" In the church lobby you can find children’s activity bags, colored pencils, and children’s bulletins to keep kids busy during the service. Doodle pages are also available in the church pews.
If children become too restless to stay in church, please feel free to let out some wiggles in the church lobby. Benches and changing tables are available in each of the restrooms. Both the lobby and the restrooms have speakers to allow you to hear the service.
We're in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas. For a clickable map with driving directions, visit our locations page.
