Our third and fourth grade instruction lays the foundation for the self-discipline and organizational skills that will be needed as students move from middle school into our junior high program. Students continue to grow in all the core curriculum areas as they also become more independent and responsible for their own course work. Students completing third and fourth grade will have the necessary skills to begin deeper and more analytical exploration of subject matter as well as a more systematic study of God’s Word.

The following curricular areas are taught in third and fourth grades:

  • Word of God – Christ Light Lessons from Northwestern Publishing House
  • SRA McGraw Hill Reading – Imagine It
  • Houghton Mifflin – Spelling and Vocabulary
  • Zaner Bloser – Handwriting
  • McGraw Hill – Everyday Mathematics
  • Shurley Method – English Made Easy
  • Pearson Core Knowledge – History and Geography
  • Art and Art History
  • Music
  • Physical Education
